The rain set in

The rain’s set in. The rain’s set in.

The road is soaked, it started last night at ten

The road is soaked, like it mightn’t dry again.

The rain’s set in. The grass is glistening,

The roof is dancing, if you’re listening.

The washing line hangs with clothes all wet,

The window’s look out as if though in regret.

The rain’s set in, in tiny beads of tears.

The rain’s set in, like it won’t stop for years.

The rain’s set in. The rain’s set in.

The rain’s set in. The rain’s set in.

The rains’s set in.
