The twisted plot

She came into my life like a rainstorm

On the warmest and driest of days

She turned me into the faithful,

Who only on Sunday prays.

She entered my thoughts and possessed me,

And to possess her I would risk my all,

I’d swim through the river at sundown,

I’d climb to the mountain and fall.

We loved each other like a wild fire

We kissed and tomorrows passed by

Life would come back to us Tuesday

And that would be just time to cry.

I kissed her goodbye at the airport

And kissed her sad tears of pain

The next day at home in the sunlight

I felt the drops of a brand new rain.
