I’m missing a piece of me.
I unpacked the box
And placed all the parts on the floor.
I followed the instructions.
In the end I had three screws left,
But one big piece was missing.

I undid the locks,
And turned the key to the door.
It was the most difficult of constructions,
I’m feeling bereft,
As it’s the part for kissing.
