I sent a letter

Through the post

To a man named

Mister Martin Ghost

They sent it back

All marked in red

“Mister Martin Ghost 

Is dead”

So not too troubled

I sent another

To Mister Martin Ghost’s

Big brother.

It was returned

All marked in blue

Which read that

“I’m afraid that he’s dead too”.
